Preble County is one of six counties that make up the Community Action Partnership of the Greater Dayton Area. Established in 1964, Community Action is an organization that provides advocacy, education, job training, employment, housing, and transportation services to low-income individuals so they can lead more productive lives and be more independent.
“We want to give local residents a firsthand look at the challenges low-income individuals and families face and the ways Community Action Partnership’s programs can assist them,” said Tim Donnellan, President and CEO of the Community Action Partnership of the Greater Dayton Area at a recent event in honor of Community Action Month.
The Preble County facility, headed by a local director and staff, is currently offering the following programs and services to low-income individuals with disabilities:
- Benefit Bank
- Emergency Services
- Furniture and Clothing Bank
- Head Start
- PIPP Plus/HEAP
- Metropolitan Housing Authority
- Senior Nutrition
- Transportation Services
If you, a family member, or friend are in need of any of the services offered by the Preble County Community Action you can visit their website or contact them at their Preble County facility:
