With the world famous Indy 500 coming around again, now seems like the perfect time to remember and thank Michelle Murray for her contributions, not only to country music, or the INDYCAR Series, but for being the spokesperson for the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation.
Michelle Murray, one of the top female stars in Country Music, recently starred in the documentary “My Finish Line”. The film was inspired by the song “It Won’t Be If But When (Sam’s Song),” which was written by Michelle and fellow songwriter, Paige Logan. Shot on location at the 2010 Indianapolis 500, the song tells Sam’s inspirational journey from a near fatal racing accident to his wonderful life as a quadriplegic and successful INDYCAR and Indy Lights team owner.
Michelle Murray is currently on a promotional tour for the film, visiting all 50 states, and racking up more than 50,000 miles throughout the United States over a two-year period. She vows to share Sam’s story with other handicapped citizens. To date, she has spoken and performed in California, Florida, Texas, and many states in between.
During the first week of June 2013, M.C. Mobility Systems will have the pleasure of hosting two special meet and greet performances by Michelle Murray. The first scheduled stop will be on June 4th from 9 a.m.to noon in Dayton, Ohio. The second stop will be June 5th from 9 a.m. to noon in Evandale, Ohio. Fans will enjoy a special meet and greet session with Michelle, in which she will promote the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation, speak about her passion to help people with disabilities and perform an acoustic version of a few of her top hit songs.
M.C. Mobility Systems will be giving away a free DVD of the inspiring story “My Finish Line” to the first 25 people to RSVP on M.C. Mobility System’s Facebook page.
