MC Mobility Gets Involved!
MC Mobility Systems, Inc. strives to stay extremely active in supporting those with disabilities in Ohio. This coming May, we have found two great opportunities to do just that by sponsoring Families of SMA’s 11th Annual OKI Chapter Walk-n-Roll and Toward Independence’s 12th Annual Walk for Independence. Join us in supporting these amazing causes and our local community.
Families of SMA is a non-profit organization which works to fund research developing a cure and treatment for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. With investments over $55 million, they are the world’s leaders in research development for the disease. The OKI Chapter of Families of SMA will be hosting the 11th annual Walk-n-Roll event to raise awareness and donations for those suffering from this disease in Ohio. The event will be on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Xavier University’s Cintas Center from 8:30am – 12:00 pm. You can learn more about the event and make donations at: http://www.fsma.org/Fundraising/EventsCalendar/.
Toward Independence is also a non-profit organization supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Toward Independence’s mission is “to assist individuals with developmental disabilities to live the fullest life possible by providing individualized services in a variety of community settings.” The 12th annual Walk for Independence will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Shawnee Park in Xenia, OH. Walkers can register as individuals or teams to become a part of this worthy event including refreshments, entertainment and contests galore at: http://www.ti-inc.net/events/news.
While you are checking out these fun and meaningful events, do not forget to vote for our many local heroes hailing from Ohio in the National Mobility Awareness Month’s Local Heroes Contest hosted by NMEDA.
