Ms. Wheelchair Ohio 2016 is Almost Here!

It’s almost that time of year; the Ms. Wheelchair Ohio 2016 pageant is just a few weeks away!

For almost ten years, Ms. Wheelchair Ohio has been in existence. As a gateway to the Ms. Wheelchair America pageant, Ms. Wheelchair Ohio is a program that provides an opportunity for achievement to women who happen to be wheelchair users.

Ms. Wheelchair Ohio is an event that we are incredibly proud to be supporters of. This isn’t just your average beauty pageant, though all of the contestants are beautiful. The group of judges, which are highly qualified, evaluate the contestants based on their inner beauty. This includes their confidence, leadership ability, personality, and the ability to advocate for others. They pick the person who is best able to show those with disabilities that they truly can make a difference.

Another mission of this event is to educate, advocate and empower all people in Ohio who interact with these contestants. These contestants, and particularly the winner, will be given the chance to communicate both the needs and accomplishments of her constituency to the general public, the business community and the legislature. The winner of this pageant will be given the opportunity to travel around the state to speak and inspire thousands.

The winner of the Ms. Wheelchair Ohio pageant will go on to compete for Ms. Wheelchair America, where she will compete against approximately 30 different contestants from all over the nation.

The pageant takes place on March 20th, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Wright State University in Dayton. However, the registration deadline is coming up soon on February 26th, 2016. If you are interested in entering this event, please visit the Ms. Wheelchair Ohio website, where you can complete a preliminary registration form.

In addition, you can also find details about sponsoring this event on their website. They are greatly in need of financial support, and they have great benefits for organizations that choose to partner with them.
