There are so many ways in which professional athletes give back to their communities and other charities they believe in. Gatorade is partnering with five athletes to help support amazing charities through their love of sport. These athletes never lose the love of their individual sports and they believe that young and disabled people should have the opportunities that they had growing up.
Gatorade, in partnership with these athletes, is helping four charities by giving them a $50,000 donation for each voting round (June 1-November 30). The first voting round has already started and is ending on Saturday, July 23.
There are four charities in round one, including, National Alliance For Youth Sports, PeacePlayers International, Up2Us Sports, and our personal favorite, Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). Each winner must be voted by their community to win the donation. Individuals can vote daily for their favorite charity.
We encourage you to vote and check out the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). They “empower challenged athletes by providing adaptive sports equipment like hand cycles, racing chairs, mono skis, prosthetics, coaching, mentoring and competition travel expenses – all things not covered by insurance.” CAF has contributed to so many great people and projects throughout the years, including recent studies with the new Apple watch applications for wheelchair users.
CAF is not the only charity to be featured in the Gatorade #LoveOfSports promotion. There are some other great organizations to support depending on your passions. M.C. Mobility, however, has decided to vote for those charities closest to the hearts of our customers. CAF is just Round 1.
In Round 2 (7/24-9/3), be sure to vote for the National Sports Center for the Disabled.
In Round 3 (9/4-10/15), be sure to vote for BlazeSports America.
In Round 4 (10/16-11/30), be sure to vote for Disabled Sports USA.
M.C. Mobility continues to support sports communities in our area that help disabled persons with empowerment by playing. We ask our fans, followers, customers and supporters to vote as much as you can for these amazing organizations that help nation-wide with the disabled sports community.
We will be updating this post after each round to tell you the results and more about the next charity to vote for.
