Chrysler and BraunAbility unveiled the all new BraunAbility Chrysler Pacifica at the Chicago Auto Show last Friday.
The new BraunAbility Chrsyler Pacifica is built on the most awarded minivan platform of 2016 and 2017 and features the industry’s widest side-entry ramp, designed to maximize space and offer easy entry and exit to the wheelchair van. Not only does the new Pacifica offer more space than ever before in a wheelchair accessible van, it also has a stylish exterior, with curves and lines that blend seamlessly with the conversion equipment.
Along with the launch of this new product, Chrysler and BraunAbility announced their joint support of Canine Companion’s “Give a Dog a Job Program.” Founded in 1975, Canine Companions for Independence® is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. Several assistance dogs were on hand for the unveiling. At the auto show, the dogs demonstrated their ability to help pull a wheelchair user up the Pacifica’s ramp. Trained Canine Companions and Wheelchair Accessible vehicles go hand in hand as pieces of a wheelchair user’s toolkit for greater independence.
